The Founder
Elana Kopelman
Heala began long before it had a name. Growing up in a Jewish home, I developed a deep appreciation for tradition. Yet as I played in the wellness space in adulthood, something felt missing. I kept returning to the same question: what would it look like to experience this healing from within a Jewish container? Heala emerged from a desire to bridge that gap.
Over the years, I found myself gathering people together — for Shabbat dinners, craft nights, sauna parties, and conversations that nourish your soul. What started organically among friends slowly grew into something larger. The more I hosted, the more I noticed a shared longing for depth within my community. The magic was never purely in the activity itself — it was in the authenticity of who showed up.
Off the clock, I am deepening my own practice of embodiment through teachings from the weekly Torah reading and rhythms of the Jewish calendar. From breathwork to to needlepoint to herbalism, I am drawn to modalities that help people remember themselves and reconnect with their Jewish roots.
“The work isn't to invent something new.
It's to feel at home within something ancient.”
