December 13, 2026|Chanukah
Chanukah invites us to bring light into the everyday. This guided beading workshop offers a creative way to carry that spirit with you long after the candles burn out. We'll gather in a cozy event space to celebrate Chanukah, the eight-day Jewish festival that commemorates the rededication of the Temple and the enduring miracle of light. Each participant will design a piece of jewelry to wear beyond the holiday or give as a meaningful gift — a small reminder that even the simplest objects can hold meaning and hope. The workshop will be led by Remi Segal, a New York–based jewelry designer and founder of Rem Gem, whose work transforms colorful gemstones into modern pieces inspired by joy and self-expression. Her workshops encourage creativity through craftsmanship, inviting people to make something that feels both personal and lasting. A portion of proceeds will support the OR Movement, an Israeli nonprofit working to strengthen communities across the Negev and Galilee through community development, leadership, and long-term investment in Israel's geographic and social periphery. Just as Chanukah celebrates bringing light into places of darkness, the OR Movement is dedicated to helping communities flourish and creating a brighter future for generations to come.
